Good resources, some small improvements

I purchased the Annual Membership a few weeks ago, mainly for the Community Forums and RV Maintenance Education. The forums are active and I've already gotten some solid advice. The maintenance education is decent, but some of the videos felt a little dated. I think they could update those to be more current. Overall, it's a good value for the price, and I appreciate the access to other full-time families.

Roadschooling info was super helpful

Got the Annual Membership last month. The Roadschooling Resources section had some really good stuff. Helped us figure out a few things we were stuck on for the kids' curriculum. Pretty easy to navigate the site too, no drama.

Decent value for the membership

I signed up for the Annual Membership, trying to save a bit where I could. I looked at a few other options, but the benefits here seemed to line up well with the cost. I used the Campground Discount Program for our last trip and it saved us a bit, which was nice. The Digital Community Access is a big plus for connecting with others. For a first-time buyer like me, it felt like a solid investment without breaking the bank. Happy with what I got for the money.

What if I sign up and decide RV life isn't for us? Can I cancel the membership?

D Derek 1 month ago
Yeah, you can cancel your membership. I'm not sure if it's pro-rated or anything, but they do let you stop. Just contact them.

They've got a cancellation policy, I think you just send them an email. Pretty straightforward, from what I heard.

How do their rallies compare to, say, Escapees or Thousand Trails events? Looking for something more family-focused.

D Derek 1 month ago
FTF rallies are WAY more kid-centric, which is what we wanted. Lots of structured stuff for all ages, not just adult social hours. Escapees is great but felt more for empty-nesters for us.

Totally different vibe. FTF is all about the kids and connecting families. Thousand Trails is more about just getting a spot, the community aspect isn't as strong at their campgrounds.

My kids are 15 and 17, are there still activities for them or is it mostly younger kids?

D David F. 1 month ago
They actually have a whole Teen Program! My 16-year-old loves it, they do their own hangouts and events at rallies. Not just for the little ones.

There's an Explorer Program for the older kids too, so they definitely cater to teens. It's not all toddlers and playgrounds, thankfully.

Thinking of joining, but money's a bit tight. Do they ever have sales for the annual membership?

F Faith E. 2 months ago
Yeah, they totally do! I snagged my membership during a Black Friday deal last year, saved a good chunk. Keep an eye out around November.

They have sales pretty often actually, especially early in the year or around big RV shows. Sometimes even referral codes pop up from existing members.

Is the lifetime membership actually worth it, or should I just stick with annual for now?

P Phil Walsh 1 month ago
If you're serious about full-timing for the long haul, totally. My buddy did the math and it pays for itself pretty quick compared to renewing every year. Plus, no more remembering to renew!

I went annual first just to see if we'd use it enough. For us, lifetime made sense after a year or two. Depends on your plans, I guess.
